About Me

Rebecca Shehorn Photography Gramlich Family 2023-212.jpg

I’m Lindsay Gramlich, and I’m running for Indiana House District 39 in the 2026 election. I am a mom to three wonderful children and two rescue dogs, a wife, a nonprofit CEO, a daughter, sister, friend, and neighbor—and a proud lifelong Hoosier raising my family here in Carmel.

My interest in public service started early. In third grade, a Schoolhouse Rock episode about how a bill becomes a law sparked a curiosity that never faded. That passion led me to study Political Science and Communications at DePauw University and earn a Master’s in Public Affairs from Indiana University. Today, I serve as CEO of a nonprofit empowering girls by expanding opportunities and breaking down barriers.

In high school, I participated in Hoosier Girls State, where I ran for and was elected State Senator in the mock election. Visiting the Indiana Statehouse afterward and sitting in the Senate chambers strengthened the conviction I had felt since childhood: that when the time was right, I would pursue public office and serve my community.

I am grounded in family, faith, and community. The daughter of two retired public school administrators and the granddaughter of Czech immigrants, I grew up with a respect for education, hard work, and community. With two kids in Carmel Clay Schools and one in daycare, I stay closely connected as a volunteer, civic advocate, and active participant in our nonprofit and education landscape.

You will often see me around town at school drop-offs, cheering at kids’ activities, visiting the Carmel Farmers Market, or running along the Monon Trail. I’m running as your neighbor—because I care deeply about the future we’re building together.
